TRAINING FOR 2010 SEASON

Training is currently underway for the number of competitions that Bundaberg District Rugby Union has in store for 2010. These competitions include a prospective rugby 7's, rugby 10's, winter and spring competitions as well as opportunities for representative rugby.

Bundaberg Wests Rugby players are renown for their committment to team training and events, and this year we shall not differ. Our committment to training has resulted in a number of players being selected into representative squads for district, state and even NATIONAL rugby playing teams.

So let's put 110% into our training sessions for a successful season. Our training times and days are:

MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

6PM - 8PM

WESTERN SUBURBS LEAGUES CLUB

NOTE: Trainings can involve some contact activities, feel free to bring protective gear. General workout attire is recommended and rugby boots aren't complusory (runners are ok)

Wests Barbarians Executive Committee 2010

Last month's AGM has identified the new Executive Committee to lead the Wests Barbarians throughout the 2010 season.

2009 Spring Season Competition

TRAINING

Training to commence in a fortnight for the up and comming spring season.

When: Monday the 7th of September

Where: Wests Leagues Club

Time: 6pm until 8pm [approx]

The 2009 Bundaberg District Rugby Union SPRING SEASON is a 4 team competition held between Wests Barbarians, East Coast Buccaneers, Hervey Bay Mariners and Alloway Falcons. With the competition being held after the Rugby League calendar, be sure to expect some big hits and talented plays.

With two days to go before the GRAND FINAL....

Alloway Falcons are recruiting as many as they can for the clash this Saturday.

I was able to obtain one of thier viral adverts. 

It promotes unity, brotherhood and love. A team as tight as this may be difficult to beat, however tight may not be the most appropriate word to use for this photo...

Wests Barbarians vs Alloway Falcons

Come support your team and watch them smash the 11 herbs and spices out of the Falcons!!!

The BDRU Grand Final will be held on Saturday August 1 at Western Suburbs Leagues Club ground. Time will be 3.00pm kick off.

The final will be between the West Barbarians (Baa Baa's) v Alloway Falcons.

Canteen and drinks will be available on the day.
